Nada umire poslednja. Bar malo! Bar da prebaci trojku? Da se primakne sve nedostižnijoj četvorki? Bar do 4-?

Atmosfera dijabolizma u ruralnom ambijentu!
New England, 1630: William and Katherine lead a devout Christian life, homesteading on the edge of an impassible wilderness, with five children. When their newborn son mysteriously vanishes and their crops fail, the family begins to turn on one another.
USA – 19th Feb

Nicolas Winding Refn + horror!!!
Elle Fanning stars in a cruel cautionary tale as aspiring model Jesse, who moves to Los Angeles, only to find her youth and vitality devoured by a group of beauty-obsessed women who will take any means necessary to get what she has. Sexiness abounds with the likes of Christina Hendricks, Jenna Malone, Bella Heathcote, Abby Lee and a whole host of nubile lookers. Oh, and Keanu Reeves will be there as well.

a Rob Zombie film!
31 tells the story of five carnies in 1976 kidnapped on the morning of Halloween and held hostage in a remote industrial Hell. While trapped, they are forced to play a violent game called 31. The mission is to survive 12 hours against an endless gang of grease-painted maniacs.
It features cult legend Malcolm McDowell (A Clockwork Orange) playing a character called Father Murder.

The Red Spider
Poljski arty psiho-slešer!
Inspired by one of the world’s youngest serial killers, the genre-bending Polish thriller “The Red Spider” spins a web that openly challenges pro-forma slasher pics in which corpses accumulate while a detective races to solve the case. For starters, its stone-faced antihero doesn’t actually kill a single person — at least not directly. But even more peculiar, writer-director Marcin Koszalka wants his audience to identify with the criminal in question, inviting us to consider the impulses that might turn an “ordinary” person into a homicidal sociopath. Grounded not in psychology but in a form of hypothetical speculation, the resulting film feels as cold and obsessive as its subject, suggesting an arty, “Let the Right One in”-like tale of diabolical initiation, with obvious interest for fests and jaded genre buffs.

Sean Byrne (The Loved Ones)
Metal music, wet paint, and family are the passions of Jesse, a struggling painter who lives a happy life with his wife, Astrid, and their preteen daughter, Zooey. And things look even brighter when Jesse and Astrid are able to put in a bid on their dream home – a huge property in rural Texas with a barn big enough for a proper art studio – after the price is driven down due to the home’s mysterious past. After the trio moves in, Jesse’s work starts taking on a new, considerably darker flavour – and things get even more ominous when Ray, the hulking, clearly unbalanced son of the deceased former owners, appears on the doorstep one night, clutching a red electric guitar and asking to “return home.” It soon becomes clear that Ray and Jesse are both being influenced by the same satanic forces, and that Jesse’s family won’t be safe until they find a way to quiet the Devil himself.

Fires on the Plain
Shinya Tsukamoto's: War is horror (and splatter)
There are horrors-of-war movies (“Come and See”), and then there are World War II horror movies (“Dead Snow”), and judging by “Fires on the Plain,” it’s not entirely clear whether Japanese splatter director Shinya Tsukamoto understands the difference. The “Tetsuo: The Iron Man” helmer claims to have long dreamed of filming Shohei Ooka’s 1951 novel, already adapted far more artfully by Kon Ichikawa, but he seems to be deriving a bit too much pleasure from all those decapitated heads, stacked corpses and maggot-infested flesh wounds to treat the pic’s anti-war message seriously. Despite the credibility a Venice competition slot imparts, “Fires” feels more giallo than arthouse.

Perry Blackshear
Suspecting that people around him are turning into evil creatures, a troubled man questions whether to protect his only friend from an impending war, or from himself.
An exercise in minimalist dread, Perry Blackshear’s film about unsettling paranoia in those in your environment taps into the alienating terror that fuels the work of H.P. Lovecraft.

FEBRUARY (aka The Blackcoat's Daughter)
Set at an all girls boarding school, February tells the story of two women bound together by a series of sinister events. This artfully crafted shocker is directed by non other than the son of horror legend Anthony Perkins (Psycho).
With Emma Roberts (American Horror Story).
Ipak, neke kritike kažu i ovo:
A film too busy trying to be clever to realize how dumb it truly is.
Did Perkins just marathon David Lynch and Nicolas Winding Refn movies in order to prepare for his debut? It certainly feels like it, given his liking for overlong pauses in conversations and low, rumbling sounds that only get higher in volume as every exchange keeps going. It’s a cheap attempt to throw some dark undertones over plenty of vague and banal lines of dialogue, lines specifically designed to enhance the aura of mystery.
24 September

Jeremy Sauliner (Blue Ruin)
Stars Patrick Stewart and is about a young punk band that witnesses some horrible act of violence and comes under attack from a group of skinheads.

Midnight Special
Jeff Nichols (Take Shelter, Mud)
A Firestarter-ish sounding story about a father taking his supernaturally powered young son on the run. The father is Michael Shannon. Also starring Kirsten Dunst, Adam Driver and Joel Edgerton. A kind of tribute to 1980's John Carpenter films.

Takakura is a former detective. He receives a request from his ex-colleague, Nogami, to examine a missing family case that occurred 6 years earlier. Takakura follows Saki's memory. She is the only surviving family member from the case. Meanwhile, Takakura and his wife Yasuko recently moved into a new home. Their neighbor, Nishino, has a sick wife and a young teen daughter. One day, the daughter, Mio, jumps into Takakura's house and tells him that the man is not her father and she doesn't know him at all.
Kijoši odavno nije snimio dobar film, ali ovaj povratak hororu rado ću pogledati, donekle suzdržanih očekivanja, jer kritike kažu i ovakve stvari:
“the film is an unfulfilling experience; incredulously dull, unwittingly absurd and comical, and featuring the most plank-like lead performance I’ve seen in quite some time. Detached, lethargic, and predictable picture. Apart from a couple of neat camera movements where action is allowed to speak louder than words, Creepy is so disposable it hardly feels directed at all.”

Under the Shadow
Još jedan iranski ženocentrični horor!
A satisfyingly tense and atmospheric thriller set in a haunted Tehran apartment during the terrifying final days of the Iran-Iraq War. Slyly merging a familiar but effective genre exercise with a grim allegory of female oppression, Babak Anvari’s resourceful writing-directing debut grounds its premise in something at once vaguely political and ineluctably sinister. “Shadow” delivers the sort of sleek, swiftly paced freakout.

A Mexican movie about middle aged recluse psychologist who has stopped practicing years ago decides to take the case of Veronica, a young woman who’s treatment was mysteriously interrupted by the Psychologist's old professor, who has disappeared. As a condition, the Psychologist requires Veronica to stay with her in her country house for the duration of the treatment. Here, they will both discover what lies behind their deepest secrets.
The film evolves slowly from stark black and white into glorious technicolor as it progresses.

Joe Begos (Almost Human)
A drifter with psychic powers takes on an evil doctor and his crew of telekinetic assassins.
The Mind’s Eye recalls the golden era of telekinesis based terror such as The Fury (1978), Scanners (1981) and Firestarter (1984) so expect much vein popping, head detonations and all round tumefacation in general.
It's got Larry Fessenden in it.

The R-rated horror/thriller stars Genesis Rodriguez and Patricia Clarkson. The story centers on a man recently released from a mental institute who inherits a mansion after his parents die. After a series of disturbing events, he comes to believe it is haunted.

Fede Alvarez (EVIL DEAD rehash)
The story about a group of teens that break into a blind man's home thinking they'll get away with the perfect crime. They're wrong. Stephen Lang adds some gravitas to the proceedings, with the great Sam Raimi and his Ghost House Pictures lending its producorial blessing.

The Darkness
Greg McLean (WOLF CREEK)
Stars Radha Mitchell + Kevin Bacon in the lead. The simple plot revolves around a that family returns from a Grand Canyon vacation with a supernatural presence in tow.

Danny Perez
In a desolate community full of drug-addled Marines and rumors of kidnapping, a wild-eyed stoner named Lou (Natasha Lyonne) wakes up after a wild night of partying with symptoms of a strange illness and recurring visions as she struggles to get a grip on reality while stories of conspiracy spread.
Director Danny Perez is well known for having a strong leaning towards the experimental side of film making – with the accent heavily on the ”mental”.
Endless bong sessions, psychosomatic episodes and drug rattled veterans wrapped up in a visual maelstrom.
With Chloe Sevigny and Meg Tilly.
Perez showcases Lou's hallucinatory drug trips somewhat differently than what we've seen in film before. Rather than carry on for an entire scene with manipulated lens filters and shudder effects, Lou only hallucinates in "shards of time," as if the bong rips force her to remember, rather than forget, glimpses of how she became "pregnant."
The cinematography from Rudolk Blahacek is also quite impressive. I love the way the film is lit, especially during the final 10 or so minutes. Blahacek's work also allows the special practical effects to shine for ultimate, slimy, gross-out impact.
If you can picture a less intelligent version of David Lynch's Eraserhead with the body horror of David Cronenberg, you'll have a good idea of what to expect from Antibirth.

Before I Wake
 Mike Flanagan (Oculus)
Atmospheric chiller about a child whose nightmares come to life.
A young couple adopt an orphaned child whose dreams - and nightmares - manifest physically as he sleeps. To save their new family, Jessie and Mark embark on a dangerous hunt to uncover the truth behind Cody's nightmares.
Kate Bosworth and Tom Jane star.
8 April

Mike Flanagan (Oculus)
A deaf woman is stalked by a psychotic killer in her secluded home.
8 April

Female horror anthology, with segments by Karyn Kusama (Jennifer’s Body), alongside directors Mary Harron, Jennifer Lynch and Jovanka Vuckovic.

The Diabolical
Alistair Legrand
When a single mother and her two young children are tormented by an increasingly strange and intense presence, she turns to her science teacher boyfriend to help take on the violent forces that paranormal experts are too frightening to face.
Cast: Ali Larter.

Ben Cresciman
A tale of psychosis and unspeakable delusion, Ben Cresciman’s surreal fright flick has one of the most visceral and unforgiving third acts seen in 2015.
This psychological horror film evokes the Polanski of Repulsion but also the Todd Haynes of [SAFE] and the Altman of 3 Women …  it’s tactful but disturbing, and gets into the fractured psyche of its leading lady (or ladies).  A little too oblique for regular horror, it’s a haunting work.

Benjamin R. Moody
A clever, creepy twist on the “final girl” archetype, LAST GIRL STANDING examines life after a slasher film, turning in one of the most unexpected and contemplative psychological thrillers of the year.

Bobbin Ramsey
With great characters, expert tension and a fantastic execution, DEAD BODY is the pick-’em-off horror film of 2015, and one sure to help continue ushering in the new wave of excellent indie slashers.

Yannis Veslemes
One of the most unique terror titles this year, NORWAY is an exceptionally fun and brilliantly twisted take on the vampire story, conveying the stylish tale of a vampire whose life as a late night raver takes him into a bizarre, oddly tragic story.

Mark Ricche & Christian Stavrakis
A faux-documentary about a legendary cult filmmaker who may have served a more sinister purpose before his alleged death, MORTAL REMAINS is engrossing and absolutely fun, with one of the best bloody final moments in years.

Hèctor Hernández Vicens
A twisted psychodrama of the highest order, THE CORPSE OF ANNA FRITZ could quickly become the next buzzworthy underground title if given the proper platform.

10 Cloverfield Lane
After getting in a car accident, a woman is held in a shelter by two men, who claim the outside world is affected by a widespread chemical attack.
With John Goodman.
Upravo krenuo u USA. Kažu:
“The best part of "10 Cloverfield Lane" is trying to decipher the answers to the questions it raises; and the trio of screenwriters, including Oscar-nominated "Whiplash" writer Damien Chazelle, keep audiences on their toes by cleverly changing the questions at a moment's notice.”

Director’s Commentary: Terror of Frankenstein
Tim Kirk
A fictional and highly engaging commentary track is laid over a forgotten 1977 Frankenstein film in this experimental outing from the producer of ROOM 237.  The climax is just as exciting as any action film I saw this year.

Bryan Bertino
Concerns a mother and daughter who are terrorized by a monster.

Anthony DiBlasi (Dread, 2009, Cassadaga, 2011)
A group of former classmates gather for a pre-party at one of their homes the night before their 10-year high school reunion, and one by one, they are brutally slain in a manner befitting each's senior yearbook superlative.

When Outlaws on the lam invade the home of an unsuspecting, seemingly innocent, frontier family to hide out for the night, an unexpected game of cat and mouse ensues, leading to seduction, role reversal, and ultimately, bloody revenge.
The revenge western is ripe with horror tropes and the soundtrack is superb.
USA – 25th May

Phantasm – Ravager

James Wan
Lorraine and Ed Warren travel to north London to help a single mother raising four children alone in a house plagued by malicious spirits.
USA – 10th June

F. Javier Gutiérrez
Samara returns with a familiar video tape to strike terror again in the third film of the Ring series, Rings.
Video traka? VIDEO?! Će vidimo!
28 October

Novi pokušaj Kevina Smita da napravi nešto nalik hororu.
Two teenage yoga enthusiasts team up with a legendary man-hunter to battle with an ancient evil presence that is threatening their major party plans.
Yoga Hosers is part of an insane trilogy sandwiched between a film about a man who turns himself into a walrus (Tusk) and a killer elk picture (Moose Jaws).
It features a character called Yogi Bayer.
UK – Mid 2016

Part crime caper gone awry, part survival horror film, this 1970s set thriller depicts a harrowing fight for survival after a pair of wannabe crooks botch a bank heist and flee into the desert, where they inexplicably stumble upon Carnage Park, a remote stretch of wilderness occupied by a psychotic ex-military sniper.
Carnage Park is “a nod to the legendary Sam Peckinpah and his masterpiece The Getaway, the new French Extremism films of the 2000s, and The Most Dangerous Game.” Its got Larry Fessenden in it.
E, jebi ga!

Uptake Fear invites the viewer to break the limits of social behavior as the journey goes from real to surreal in a path of violence, blood and the metastases of reality. Join the rising of a psychopath as he loses control of his reality and his fears.
The trailer looks like the kind of insane that only South America (BRAZIL!) can do.
One of the trio of directors is Kapel Furman (Beyond the Grave) who is one of the best orchestrators of special effects gore and violence in the world. Some of his work is truly demented.

Richard Bates Jr. (Excision, Suburban Gothic)
Owen and Isabel’s love story simmers with spiteful rage, but unfortunately, for everyone, Isabel is pregnant with Owen’s child. In order to prove to her that he could become a stable father, Owen agrees to reconnect with his only living relatives at Isabel’s request. The couple takes a trip to visit his perversely devoted grandmother and his sister Pearl, who was severely burned in a fire, to finally bury the hatchet. But sometimes the ties that bind can cut off all circulation.

Još jedan rimejk: očekujem gomilu sluzi (i to kompjuterske).

While attending a dinner party at his former home, a man thinks his ex-wife and her new husband have sinister intentions for their guests.
Jennifer’s Body director Karyn Kusama
USA – 25th March

  3. The Corpse of Anna Fritz je izašao, imam ga skinutog i sve se kanim.

  5. šta znam, koliko i Nobi i The Green Room koji takođe nisu horori.

  8. The Witch will be released on Blu-ray and DVD from Lionsgate on May 17th, bringing the evil of the woods into OUR living rooms!

---THEY LOOK LIKE PEOPLE - ovo je u teoriji zvučalo zanimljivo. u praxi je negledljivo. ugasio posle 25 min. mučenja/nadanja. brauzovao do kraja. more crap. užas. obrisao.
    ---HUSH – vrlo dobro, 3-
---THE CORPSE OF ANNA FRITZ & NORWAY – nisam još pogledao.
--- THE INVITATION – imate rivju na blogu.
