In Fabric
Peter Strickland
With Sidse Babett Knudsen, Steve Oram. A haunting ghost story set against the backdrop of a busy winter sales period in a department store and follows the life of a cursed dress as it passes from person to person, with devastating consequences.

The Color Out of Space
Richard Stanley
(Hardware, Dust Devil)

The Lodge
Veronika Franz and Severin Fiala
Severin and Fiala once more revisit an estranged figure of motherhood as a soon-to-be stepmom finds herself isolated in a cabin with two children. Eventually, events trigger memories of her strictly religious upbringing related to strange and frightening events which begin to take place.

The Lighthouse
Robert Eggers
With Willem Dafoe, Robert Pattinson. Plot details on The Lighthouse are being kept tightly under wraps, but it has been revealed that the film takes place in Nova Scotia in 1890 and features an aging lighthouse keeper called Old.

Us
Jordan Peele
This time, Peele is tackling the home-invasion horror formula but with a terrifying twist: Uber-creepy doppelgängers
While supernatural components are on the menu, we're also expecting subtext swimming with biting social commentary.

Midsommar
Ari Aster
It seems to involve some American vacationers in Scandinavia, a troubled relationship, and a pagan cult.

Wounds
Babak Anvari
With Dakota Johnson, Armie Hammer. Disturbing and mysterious things begin to happen to a bartender in New Orleans after he picks up a phone left behind at his bar.
Prvi rivjui kažu:
A movie that includes gaping injuries, rearranging heads, and thousands of cockroaches, but you come away with the distinct impression the filmmaker just wanted to make a film about a break-up. A gimmick-based, jump-scare-riddled horror movie that‘s also a relationship psychodrama, but there may be too much of each element to satisfy the target audience for the other.

It Comes
Tetsuya Nakashima

The life seems perfect for Hideki who lives with his beautiful wife in his new suburban flat. One day, he is called by a colleague that a visitor comes to see him at his office. When he reaches the reception, Hideki is baffled to learn that the visitor is already gone leaving a memo of his unborn daughter's name "Chisa". Two years later, the colleague dies mysteriously and Hideki's house is attacked by a sinister presence. To protect his family, Hideki asks for help from a journalist Nozaki and a prestigious exorcist who performs a ritual to break an unknown spell. But they come to learn what they are dealing with is beyond their imagination.

Prisoners of the Ghostland
Sion Sono
A notorious criminal (Nicolas Cage) must must break an evil curse in order to rescue an abducted girl who has mysteriously disappeared. Cage said of the film:
“I’m thrilled about it! It’s unlike anything I’ve ever read before. It might be the wildest movie I’ve ever made, and that’s saying something. It’s out there. I wear a skintight black leather jumpsuit with grenades attached to different body parts, and if I don’t rescue the governor’s daughter from this state line where they’re all ghosts and bring her back they’re gonna blow me up. It’s just crazy. It’s way out there.”

The Nightshifter
Dennison Ramalho
Stênio, the nightshifter of a morgue, has the ability to communicate with the cadavers that are brought to him every night.

The Turning
Floria Sigismondi
Based on Henry James's 1898 novella The Turn of the Screw. With Mackenzie Davis (Blade Runner 2049) and Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things, It), and there's a role for Hot Fuzz director Edgar Wright. The Turning is directed by acclaimed music video maker and it is something of a passion project for producer Steven Spielberg, who reportedly wanted to be involved with a scary movie again. This tale of a nanny and her spooky experiences while looking after two kids in a old house is a true classic, and a new take on the material is very welcome.

Luz
Tilman Singer
On a particularly violent and stormy night, an obviously distraught taxi driver named Luz bursts into a nearly deserted police station. Meanwhile, the mysterious Nora is busy seducing a certain Dr. Rossini at a local bar. As the drinks accumulate on the counter and the mysterious conversation grows increasingly threatening, she reveals the nature of her long-term relationship with Luz. And as Rossini falls under her charm, it quickly becomes obvious that it’s already too late for everyone involved.
At the station, Luz confesses her secret to incredulous officers: a demon is on the loose, and it is after her. He’s heading their way and odds are slim that there will be anyone left to see the sun rise in the morning...
An experimental shocker with an irresistible retro vibe

Corporate Animals
Patrick Brice
(Creep, Creep 2)

Extreme modern comedy with a straight face (to see “The Overnight” is to be scarred by it forever). With “Corporate Animals,” Brice will try to find the sweet spot between his two favorite genres. If the premise sounds benign, the details hint at stomach-churning hilarity: Demi Moore stars as Lucy, the tyrannical CEO of a company that makes edible cutlery. And while that alone could be the basis of a horror movie, things get even more ominous when she leads her staff (Karan Soni, Jessica Williams) on a team-building retreat in the caves of New Mexico. Naturally, the team gets trapped when the caves implode, and their hired guide (Ed Helms) doesn’t seem like he’s going to be much help. Are they going to eat their knives, or use them on each other?

The Field Guide to Evil
Peter Strickland, Can Evrenol, Severin Fiala & Veronika Franz
A feature-length anthology film. They are known as myths, lore, and folktales. Created to give logic to mankind's darkest fears, these stories laid the foundation for what we now know as the horror genre.
Omnibus sa znatno jačim rediteljima nego inače u toj formi. Videćemo da li su bili u formi.

Velvet Buzzsaw
Dan Gilroy
A horror/thriller centering on the art world. Jake Gyllenhaal and Rene Russo star.
Valjda?

Possessor
Brandon Cronenberg
In Cronenberg’s screenplay, Riseborough plays an agent for a secret organization which uses brain implant technology to inhabit other people’s bodies and commit assassinations for wealthy clients. But she finds herself trapped in the mind of an unwitting suspect with a penchant for violence which seems to rival her own.

Embrace Me
Javier Rao
Strange things start to happen after sex, in a daring, scary and disorienting debut from Argentina with a stoner sense of humour.
Joaquin likes to hang around with friends, smoke pot and watch films. One night, Josefine stays with him and they have sex. The next day she is gone, leaving blood in the bathtub. After that, strange things start to happen to Joaquin. A fortune teller tells him the shocking truth.
One of the most unusual films this year, Embrace Me is often quirky and adorable, but also scary and disorienting when it needs to be. The solid cinematography and the young, extremely easygoing cast are a treat, making the audience feel what it is like being young, loved-up and shit-faced. Joaquin is the perfect anti-hero and first time director Javier Rao seems to enjoy all the bad things that come to haunt him. After a laid-back start, the film becomes seriously creepy after Josefine’s disappearance.
Deluje kao argentinska verzija The Night of the Virgin, samo bolje.

In the Tall Grass
 Vincenzo Natali
Based on Stephen King and Joe Hill 's 2012 novella of the same name. Takes place when after hearing a young boy's cry for help, a sister and brother venture into a vast field of grass in Kansas but soon discover that there may be no way out.

Freak Shift
Ben Wheatley
(Kill List)
Alicia Vikander stars in this action thriller about a group of misfits who hunt nocturnal underground monsters.

The Banishing
Christopher Smith
Tells the story of the most haunted house in England. In the 1930s, a young reverend, his wife and daughter move into a manor with a horrifying secret. “Set against a backdrop of escalating tensions in Europe and the rise of fascism, The Banishing offers the perfect set up for a rich ghost story and ultimately a tale of possession,” Smith commented.

The Prodigy
Nicholas McCarthy
(The Pact, Holidays)
A gifted young boy begins to show disturbing tendencies leading his mother to believe something supernatural is affecting him.

Polaroid
Lars Klevberg
A high school loner discovers a polaroid camera that leads to the violent deaths of people who are snapped by it. Has been in limbo for more than a year now with an original release date of mid-2017.

The Hole in the Ground
Lee Cronin
Set in rural Ireland, a mother comes to believe that her son has been replaced by an impostor after an encounter with a mysterious hole in the ground.

Kasane -Beauty and Fate
Yuichi Sato
The daughter of famous actress Sukeyo (Rei Dan), known for her great beauty and incredible talent, Kasane (Kyoko Yoshine) must live with a face deformed by a giant scar, even though she is blessed with impressive performing skills. Ashamed of her ugliness, she's always trying to hide her scar, which led to her extreme shyness. When Sukeyo dies, she leaves her daughter an enchanted lipstick that gives its wearer the power to switch faces with whomever they kiss. One of her mother's old colleagues, Habuta (Tadanobu Asano), puts her in contact with Nina (Tao Tsuchiya), an arrogant actress who looks divine but is completely talentless. A deal is then made for Kasane to change faces with Nina and thus creating the ultimate actress. But Habuta's plan is far much crueler than it looks...

Ghost Town Anthology (Repertoire des villes disparues)
Denis Côté
When a resident from the desolate Irénée-les-Neiges, which has a population of 215, dies in an accident during the winter, there are no witnesses. The residents refuse to acknowledge the death, which results in an emotional fugue state for those who had been close to him and the event. In the aftermath, strangers begin to appear in the town, but no one seems to know who they are.

You Should Have Left
David Koepp
(Stir of Echoes, Secret Window)
Kevin Bacon
and Amanda Seyfried to star in this book adaptation about a screenwriter who loses his mind after moving into an isolated house in the Alps with his wife and young daughter.

Three From Hell
Rob Zombie
Sequel to The Devil's Rejects, fans of the more extreme ends of the horror spectrum are excited to reunite with the Firefly clan in Three From Hell (especially since they were all presumed dead the last time we saw them). In addition to Sid Haig, Bill Moseley, and Sheri Moon Zombie, the sizable ensemble cast is a who's-who of classic and indie horror icons including: Danny Trejo, Clint Howard, Dee Wallace, Bill Oberst Jr....

Brightburn
David Yarovesky
Stars Elizabeth Banks (who previously appeared in Gunn's 2006 horror fave Slither). The fact that Sony has decided to release it in a prime May slot suggests there is plenty of confidence in the movie.
What if a child from another world crash-landed on Earth, but instead of becoming a hero to mankind, he proved to be something far more sinister?

The Night Clerk
Michael Cristofer
(Chuck, Original Sin)
In the film, hotel night clerk Bart Bromley (Sheridan) is a highly intelligent young man on the Autism spectrum. When a woman is murdered during his shift, Bart becomes the prime suspect.  As the police investigation closes in, Bart makes a personal connection with a beautiful guest named Andrea, but soon realizes he must stop the real murderer before she becomes the next victim.
Also starring are Academy Award Winner Helen Hunt (Trancers, Twister, The Sessions, Cast Away), Ana de Armas (Blade Runner 2049, Knock, Knock, Hands of Stone) and Golden Globe Nominee John Leguizamo (John Wick: Chapter 2).

Crawl
Alexandre Aja
(High Tension, Piranha 3D)
Low budget horror/thriller about a woman who must fight off an alligator while trapped inside a flooded house following a hurricane. Sam Raimi produces while Aja  writes and directs.
Snimano u Beogradu. Just sayin'.

Rabid
Jen and Sylvia Soska
The remake of Cronenberg's film will star Laura Vandervoort as Rose, a role played by porn star Marilyn Chambers in 1977.

A Head Full Of Ghosts
Osgood Perkins
(The Blackcoat’s Daughter, I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House)
Adaptation of the 2015 book about a family torn apart when their 15 year old daughter begins to exhibit signs of acute schizophrenia. Or possession?
Nisam bio impresioniran tim opšteobožavanim i hvaljenim romanom, kao ni prethodnim filmovima sina Entonija Perkinsa. Ali, ko zna...

It: Chapter Two
Andy Muschietti
(Mama, It)
Twenty-seven years later, the Losers Club have grown up and moved away, until a devastating phone call brings them back.

Pet Sematary
Kevin Kölsch and Dennis Widmyer
(Starry Eyes)
The novel by Stephen King is considered one of his most disturbing and the 1989 film adaptation by Mary Lambert remains a terrifying classic. Not only are we hoping to see aspects of King's novel that didn't make it into Lambert's film, we're excited to see how Kölsch and Widmyer will re-set the story in the 21st Century.

Hellboy
Neil Marshall
(Descent)
Hellboy 2019 is rated R whereas the first two Hellboy movies were PG-13. Plus, David Harbour has described some of the extreme violence that awaits us and it sounds seriously gory.
Trejler užasno smrdi i podseća na trešinu... A želeo sam da verujem...

Zombieland 2
Ruben Fleischer
Although the zombie comedy Zombieland was a critical and commercial success, it's taken nearly a decade for the sequel to happen. Since then lead actors Jesse Eisenberg and in particular Oscar-winning Emma Stone have become major stars, while the movie's writers--Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese--have scored major success with the Deadpool movies. But all are returning for the sequel, as are director Ruben Fleischer (Venom) and co-stars Woody Harrelson and Abigail Breslin. With all the main players back on board, hopes are high that Zombieland 2 will be every bit as funny, gory, silly, and heartfelt as the original.

Happy Death Day 2U
Christopher Landon
Reunites the original's director and star Jessica Rothe for an adventure described as more along the lines of Back to the Future (with a baby-faced killer, or course). Prvi deo je bio iznenađujuće zabavan. Bring it on!

Charlie Says
Mary Harron
(American Psycho)

About the crimes of Charles Manson and his followers. Matt Smith will play Manson while Sosie Bacon, Merritt Wever, and Suki Waterhouse also star.

Little Monsters
Abe Forsythe
Australian actor/director  turns to the popular rom-com zombie subgenre with his latest offering. A kid show personality and a washed-up singer team with a schoolteacher to protect a band of kindergartners during a zombie outbreak.

Eli
Ciarán Foy
A boy receiving treatment for his auto-immune disorder discovers that the house he's living isn't as safe as he thought.

The Curse of La Llorona
Michael Chaves
Based on the enduring urban legend of The Weeping Woman, The Curse of La Llorona looks like a potent mix of procedural thriller and supernatural horror with echoes of 1992's Candyman. The trailer focuses on a poor family living in a car who, by night, are terrorized by a ghastly specter; it's also heavily steeped in religious imagery juxtaposed against winter gloom -almost oppressively atmospheric. Produced by James Wan.

Beneath the Leaves
Adam Marino
Among countless others, four small-town boys are kidnapped by James Whitley, a deranged, warm-eyed psychopath. His grotesque pursuit to reunite orphaned children with their deceased birth parents is gridlocked when the boys escape and he is arrested. Twenty years later, Whitley flees during a prison fire and decides to see his mission through. Detective Larson, one of Whitley’s prior victims – and now a cop – is removed from the case due to impartiality leaving his partner and lover, Detective Shotwell to solve the case. Fueled by rage and a chance of redemption, Detective Larson chases the steadfast psychopath on his own, only to fall back into the same trap he once escaped as a child.
It stars horror veteran Doug Jones (The Shape of Water, Pan’s Labyrinth, Hellboy), with Mira Sorvino (Mimic) and Paul Sorvino

Daniel Isn’t Real

Mortimer’s second feature, an adaptation of Brian DeLeeuw’s novel, stars Miles Robbins, Sasha Lane, and Patrick Schwarzeneeger in the eerie story of a college freshman who conjures his imaginary friend from childhood to cope with a sudden traumatic experience. The movie is produced by Elijah Wood’s Spectrevision company.

Soon a new pecking order will be established as the pupils and teachers alike become locked in a bloody battle for survival…

Grudge
Another American series reboot, simply called Grudge, hits theaters. Like the first remake, his latest one is produced by Sam Raimi's Ghosthouse Pictures, and the impressive cast includes Andrea Riseborough (Mandy), Demián Bichir (Alien Covenant), Betty Gilpin (Glow), and John Cho (Searching).

Jacob’s Ladder
David M. Rosenthal
A modern day re-imagining of the 1990 cult classic. Michael Ealy and Jesse Williams star.

Among the Shadows
Tiago Mesquita
Lindsay Lohan returns to the horror genre with the film which features Charlotte Beckett as a werewolf detective.
Kristy Wolfe (Beckett) is a Brussels private eye descended from werewolves who must go to work when her uncle Harry Goldtsone is murdered in a politically-motivated attack. Patricia Sherman (Lohan), the wife of European Federation President Richard Sherman, hires Wolfe to investigate Goldstone’s killing, as he was her husband’s campaign manager. Wolfe finds bodies falling all over city and must use her innate instincts to unravel the case and stay alive long enough unmask the conspiracy.

Posljednji Srbin u Hrvatskoj
Glavnu ulogu igra Krešimir Mikić, a pored hrvatskih glumaca (i Severine) igraju i Hristina Popović i Sergej Trifunović.
Ovo ćemo moći da vidimo na FEST-u.
